  • Professor Andrey Dmitrovskiy was born on June 27, 1950 in Almaty, Kazakhstan. He graduated from secondary school in 1967 and graduated from the Almaty state medical Institute in 1973.
  • Professor Andrey Dmitrovskiy completed  clinical residency in infectious diseases in 1979 and completed a specialization course in extremely dangerous infections  and was hired as a researcher at the Central Asian Anti-Plague Research Institute in 1980.
  • Professor Andrey Dmitrovskiy worked in Vietnam on plague, cholera, and hemorrhagic fevers in 1981.
  • In the year 1985 Professor Andrey Dmitrovskiy defended PhD thesis on the clinical manifestations, diagnosis and treatment of Yersinioses was engaged in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of Plague, Anthrax, Tularemia, Pasteurellosis, Listeriosis, Leptospirosis, Rickettsiosises, Borreliosises, Yersinioses, Cholera, Hemorrhagic Fevers, TBE and trained specialists and students in clinic and treatment, epidemiology, and laboratory diagnostics of infectious diseases. He conducted scientific research and supervised dissertations in the field of infectious diseases, epidemiology and laboratory diagnostics of infectious diseases.
  • Professor Andrey Dmitrovskiy defended doctoral thesis on clinical manifestations, pathogenesis, treatment and organization of medical care for Plague patients in 1997.
  • Since 2000 he worked as a Professor at the infectious diseases Department of Kazakh National medical University. From 2005 to 2009, he also worked at CDC / CAR as a clinical epidemiologist.
  • Professor Andrey Dmitrovskiy has 387 published scientific papers and supervised 13 dissertations.
